This first picture is just explaining why there are positive and negative numbers in the spread sheet. All the numbers inside the red circle would be negative and all numbers outside it would be positive.
This is the formula for standard deviation.

Our homework for the weekend is to do both questions on the sheet we were given at the end of the class. And our vectors project is due on Wednesday.
